Gardens by the Bay
Positioned on a huge 101 hectares of reclaimed land right in the heart of Singapore, Gardens by the Bay consists of three waterfront gardens: Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden and Bay Central Garden. Besides the Gardens, this masterpiece landmark is famed for its 2 Conservatories. The Conservatories that need tickets to enter are the Flower Dome & Cloud Forest.
The Flower Dome Conservatory is the world’s largest column-less glasshouse. Maintained at 23-25 degrees Celsius, it’s intended to imitate a mild & dry climate complete with the flora inhabiting such terrains (Mediterranean, Australia, South America & South Africa).
The Cloud Forest Conservatory reproduces cool humid conditions in tropical mountain regions between 1000m to 3000m above sea level within South-East Asia, Middle and South America. It has the unique 42-metre “Cloud Mountain” where visitors can ascend using an elevator and descend on foot via a circular path.
Although a relatively new attraction in Singapore, this landmark is already gaining fast momentum to be a world-renowned site. In fact, part of the 2015 Hollywood film Hitman: Agent 47 was filmed at Gardens by the Bay.
