WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TRAVEL TO MELBOURNE??? |
Most Melbourne attractions and places of interests are not affected by the different seasons hence, tourists can be seen arriving into Melbourne all year round. (MARCH TO MAY) – During autumn, (March, April and May) visitors will be able to travel in comfortable weather while enjoying the changing colors of the city. Melbourne Fashion Festival and Formula 1 Grand Prix is normally held in the month of March. |
(JUNE TO AUGUST) – Winter season, is especially popular amongst tourist that are planning trips to Mount Buller, which is a 3 hours drive from Melbourne City. A range of winter activities such as skiing and snowboarding awaits you at the resort. | |
(SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER) – Springtime visitors will enjoy blooming flowers and rising temperatures. Despite rising temperatures, it can be quite windy during this time of the year, hence, visitors should still pack on warm sweaters. Daytime spring temperatures average out at between 17 and 20°C. Spring is also the season of sports as regional events (such as Australian Football Finals/Melbourne Cup) are held during the month of November when temperatures are slightly lower. | |

MUST DO IN MELBOURNE: | Melbourne is popular for the several markets scattered across the city. The markets can be categorized into General Markets that sell art and crafts, clothings, flowers, books and antiques artifacts. If you are looking for food, wine, beer and cheese, check out the Produce Markets instead. Be sure to visit at least one Melbourne market during your stay. |

Bringing along a variety of short, cool clothing and long, warm clothing is advisable as weather in Melbourne my change quite drastically. Also, bring along an umbrella and wind breaker even if you are travelling in the summer. |
