FULL DAY ANGTHONG NATIONAL MARINE PARK BY
LOCAL BOAT
This group of islands, 250 sq.kilometres., is  located 45 kilometres north-west from Koh Samui. It takes about 2 hours by tour boat and 1 hour by speedboat. Visitors enter an enchanting wonderland composed of bulbous green isles, clear blue lagoons, mysterious caves and strange shaped rock formations. The 2nd National Park created in Thailand, which comprises some 40 islands covering area of  250 sq.kilometres. Most islands comprise limestone masses, reaching heights up to 450 metres, and blanketed by 4 difference types of forest such as Dry Evergreen Forest, Beach Forest, Limestone Forest and Mangrove Forest. There are many strange rock formations and one island has a mysterious sink hole, completely enclosed by walls of sheer rock, at its center. You will be picked up from your hotel to the pier, board the tour boat. Arrive at Mae Koh Island Angthong Marine Park. A short climb (approximately 10-15 mins. ) follwing steps and stairs rewards you with fantastic views of the salt water lake known as "Talay Nai" the emerald green lagoon surrounded by sheer cliffs is well worth a visit. Buffet lunch on board. Afternoon, you may climb to the top view point, where an impressive picturesque panorama of all the islands can be seen; or try another hike to the lotus cave, known as "Bua Boke", with beautiful stalagmite & stalagtite formations. For the less energetic you may enjoy a swim, or just relax on a beautiful beach of white sand as soft as powder. 15:00 depart Angthong National Marine Park and transfer back to your hotel.
