Built in 1634 by a King of the Mengwi dynasty, this impressive complex stands on an island in a river, its inner temple surrounded by a moat. Its Balinese name Pura Taman Ayun literally means ‘Garden Temple in the Water’. Drive you up and come to Bedugul, mountain resort and highland retreat, tucked into the crater of an extinct volcano, 1400 meters above sea level. Lush pine forest seems to create freshness in the air. Bedugul is known for the quality of its fruit, vegetables and flowers. Serene Lake Beratan fills the ancient crater of long-inactive Catur Volcano, which towers over the lake and Ulun Danu Temple which is on the rim of the caldera at Beratan Lake. Your highlight journey is Tanah Lot, Small Island floating on the sea, carved out of the landscape by tides, wind and rains on the rock 3 acre size. One of the uniqueness of the owned Tanah Lot is across the street from the temple there are a number of caves in which lived a few sea snakes are colored black and white generally can be met in the coast.
